Obituary

MARY LOUISE SCHIMELFENIG Norwalk Mary Louise Onstot Schimelfenig went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Indianola Good Samaritan Care Center. Mary was born March 3, 1920 to Esther Allen and Ray Onstot. Mary was united in marriage to Harold Schimelfenig on August 12, 1939. Mary played basketball in high school and worked at Solar Air Craft and Meredith. She enjoyed playing bridge and pitch and was a lifetime member of the Norwalk United Methodist Church. Mary is survived by her son, Jim; adopted daughter, Edna Rawson; sister-in-law, Donna Onstot; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Harold; her parents, Esther and Ray Onstot; her brothers, Lowell, Leonard, Alfred and Ted; and sister, Dorothy James. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 13 at the Norwalk United Methodist Church with visitation to be held one hour prior to services at the church. Burial of cremains will follow in the Norwalk Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to her church.
