Mary Lou Olive, 63, of Indianola passed away August 28, 2019 after a three-year courageous battle against cancer surrounded by her family.

Mary was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, boss and a coworker.  So many words and feelings go with Mary. She was gentle, loving, and free-spirited woman who never judge. She hated to be the center of attention but she could light up a room with her smile. Mary loved the outdoors, the moon and her time with her family.

Laramy - K Optical was her other world she started in 1990. She loved what she did in the optic world, nothing could keep her away.

She is survived by her lifetime partner of forty-seven years and husband of twenty-seven years, Gary Olive; daughter, Cari Olive; grandson, Jude Kellow; parents, Louis and Barbara Cooper; sisters, Louann (Dan) Gillette, Kim (Jim) Howerton, Diana (John) Larson.

Celebration of Life Services for Mary Lou Olive, will be held 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the North Shelter at Lake Ahquabi South of Indianola where family will be present to greet friends. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jude Kellow college fund.
