Services for Mary Frances Nolan, 97, of Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023 in Des Moines, will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial following in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Orilla.

Mary Frances Graham was born the daughter of Merle B. and Wilma B (Hutt) Graham on April 11, 1926 in Indianola.  She attended schools in Indianola.  Mary had worked for Morris Auto Parts in Des Moines for 35 years.  She was married to R. Dean Nolan on August 22, 1981.  She and Dean lived in Des Moines, until the time of her death.

Mary and Dean attended Chapel of Faith Church in Indianola for several years.  She enjoyed gardening and attending her grandchildren's events.

Mary is survived by her husband, Dean Nolan; children, Judi Bendt and Debi (Ron) Armstrong; step-daughter, Connie (Mark) Orth; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several great great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Wilma (Hutt) Graham; son, Carroll Heaivilin; step-son David Nolan; an infant brother, David; and a sister, Helen Drake.

Visitation will be held, prior to services, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in memory of Mary to Kiya Koda Humane Society in Indianola.
