Alice was united in marriage with Stephen R. Harvey and for many years they were farmers in the Wick and St. Charles area, before retiring in Indianola. While farming, they were foster parents for several children.

Alice is survived by her sons, Gene (Doris) and Kenneth (Maggie); daughter, Nancy Catchpool (Stan); and son-in-law, Warren Gideon. Alice loved numbers and these were her favorite numbers; 11 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 6 step great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Other survivors include sisters-in-law, Ilka Harvey and Phyllis Boll; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Stephen; infant daughter, D. Genelle; daughter, Deana; and brothers, Phillip, Harlan, Myrell, Paul and Delwin.

In accordance with her wishes her body has been donated to medical science.

A Memorial service celebrating her life will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. The family will meet with visitors one hour prior to the service.

Alice's legacy is in her deep, abiding faith and in the "Mush Notes" she included in every birthday card.
