Mary Ann Adams was born May 9, 1937 in Jamaica, NY to John Alexander and Louise Marie (Miller) Harp and passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, IA at the age of 78 years. A small family service was held at Lake Ahquabi in Indianola, IA on May 6, 2016.

Survivors include her sons, George T. Adams and Hugh Adams of California, and Theodore Adams of Florida; son-in-law, Daniel Gronmark of Wisconsin; sister, Victoria Hoskins of Indianola, IA; six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Louise Harp; her sister, Carol Lee Castaldo formerly of New York; and daughter, Wendy (Adams) Gronmark formerly of Wisconsin.

Loving and kind in all her ways,
upright and just to the end of her days;
Sincere and true in her heart and mind,
a beautiful memory she left behind.
She had a nature you could not help loving,
a heart that was purer than gold;
And to those who knew her and loved her,
her memory will never grow cold.
