Marvin was born, June 12, 1916 in Truro, IA. to Neal and Nettie Glass. Marvin had grown up in rural Iowa and on April 3, 1938 he was united in marriage to Evelyn Sheesley. Following their marriage they moved to Denver where he worked for Remington Arms and Denver Dry Goods before returning to Iowa where he farmed, worked for Orr & Sons and retired from the Indianola Community School District as a custodian. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Glass; son, Marvin "Bob" (Marie) Glass of New Virginia; daughter, Kay (Arnold) Greubel of Indianola; 6 grandchildren, Melinda (Dana) Austin of St. Charles, IA, Mark (Wendy) Glass of Norman, OK, Melissa Glass-Madonia of New Virginia, Rob (Macushla) Glass of Goldsboro, N.C. Brent (Angela) Greubel of Kansas City, MO, Katie Greubel of Indianola; and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Barbara Jean Glass; brother, Merrill Glass; and sister Mary Brockaw.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, at Overton Funeral Home where the family will be present to greet friends.
