Services for Marvin DeGoey, 90, of Pleasantville, who passed away Friday, July 12, 2019, in Des Moines, will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, at the Indianola First Baptist Church, burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Indianola, IA

He is survived by his wife, Junella; children, Karla (Darrell) Labertew and Lyle (Reeca) DeGoey; grandchildren, Ryan (Christie) Labertew, Holly DeGoey, Ashten (Rob) Hayes, Chauncee (Jimmy) Hyde, Kristine Labertew; great-grandchildren, Faith and Noah Labertew, Jantz Hyde, Payton Houseman; siblings, Carl (Joyce) DeGoey, Ryk (Jan) DeGoey, Joi (Lou) Van Der Hart; many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius and Caroline DeGoey; siblings, Deretha Sneller, Thelma Boertje, Cornelius DeGoey Jr, and Willus DeGoey; parents-in-law, Henry and Dorothy DeZwarte.

Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 16 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m.  Memorials can be made in Marvin's name to St. Jude's Hospital and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
