MARVIN E. BAUGHMAN Indianola Services for Marvin E. Baughman 78, who passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012, after a two year battle with cancer will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 28 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial with military rights will follow in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Marvin was born October 5, 1933 the son of Howard and Edna (Feight) Baughman. He was united in marriage to Norma Lee Hutchison on May 5, 1957. He retired as an insurance adjuster for Allied Insurance in Des Moines. He is survived by his wife Norma Baughman; children, Doug (Lisa) Baughman, Kent (Tina) Baughman and Michele Baughman; three brothers, Robert, Ralph and John Baughman; sisters, Mary Louise Sandy, Ruth Wilson, Edith Heemstra and Marilyn Porter; three grandchildren, Josh (Christy), Philip (Alicia) and Drew Baughman; two step grandchildren, Chassidy (Nick) Butler and Michael Weber; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Tanner Baughman. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Donald Baughman; two sisters, Vera Cannon and Veda Sams; and one son-in law, Dale Gaule. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 27 at Overton Funeral Home with family present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
