Visitation for Martha J. Hicks, 86, who passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at home will be held 10 a.m. to Noon, Saturday, October 25 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Private family burial services will be held in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery. She is survived by her children, Pat (Dave) Garrett, Debra Marchant and Terri Lettington all of Indianola; sister, Judy Johansen; grandchildren, Dustin Marchant, Amy McAninch, Nick Marchant, Sharla Garrett and Jacob Lettington; and great-grandchildren, Lance Marchant, Kelsea Burgess, Tanner Marchant, Ethan Burgess, Shelbey Stalter, and Makayla Stalter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Hicks, parents Floyd and Clista Murphy, brother James Murphy, sisters, Ruby Boothe and Betty Forbes, sons-in-law, Dennis Marchant and Bobby Johnston. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Indianola First United Methodist Church.
