Graveside services for Martha (Marti) Louise Eckles, 72, will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, at the Griswold Cemetery west of Griswold, Iowa off Highway 92. Marti died on Sunday, November 26, 2006 at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center surrounded by her family that loved her dearly.

Marti was born August 31, 1934 to Wilbur and Mabel Speer in Dexter, Iowa. Marti was preceded in death by her beloved husband Wayne Eckles and her father Wilbur (Bill) Speer. She will be missed by her mother and stepfather, Mable and Gail Noland, who live in Carlisle, Iowa; along with her three children Pat (Lien) Cline of Plainfield Illinois, Mike (Becky) Cline of Marion, Iowa, Cathy (Charlie) Hommer of Indianola, Iowa, four stepchildren Don (Linda) Eckles, Dixie (Daryl) Rash, Dave (Lynn) Eckles, Doug (Patty) Eckles, sixteen grand children and many great grand children.

The great joys of Marti's life were traveling and enjoying time with her husband Wayne, spending time with all of her grandchildren and collecting recipes. Marti was a truly kind and loving person who will be remembered for her patience, great sense of humor and for being a great friend.

Visitation will be held on November 28th , 2006 at the Overton Funeral Home, 501 W. Ashland Ave., Indianola, Iowa from 6 to 8 p. m. Memorial contributions may be made to NTAF in care of Caldwell Banker Realty office in Indianola, Iowa.
