Marshall Buchtel King, was born on July 28, 1952 in Hancock, Michigan, the oldest of five children, Marshall, James, Wanda, Randolph and Charles born to Marshall Nowlin and Bonnie Jean (Buchtel) King.  Following graduation Marshall worked different jobs living in a group home.  These residents and workers that he lived with were his local family but he also loved spending time with his parents, siblings and extended family and friends.

Marshall was a musician playing piano and singing.  Church was one of the places that he was able to sing with passion.  He was born in Upper Michigan and lived in the Chicago area and then the family moved to Texas where he remained until the time of his passing.

He is survived by his siblings, Wanda B. Lydon and Charles B. King.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James and Randolph and his step-father, John B. Cataldo.  Marshall was a friend to those around him and people really liked him.

Family services were held in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
