Visitation for Marlene Kay Lester, 69, of Indianola, Iowa, who passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026 in Des Moines, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, September 27, 2026 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Services and burial will be privately held in the Liberty Center Cemetery, Liberty Center.

Marlene is survived by her husband, Kerry Lester; son, Keith (Michelle) Lester; grandchildren, Mary Hanson and Charlene Lester; great-granddaughter, Evangeline; sister, Marie (Kelly) Burzette; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Arlene Miner.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Marlene may be given to Kiya Koda Humane Society.
