Graveside Memorial services for Marilyn J. Carpenter, 75, who died Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Taylor House Hospice in east Des Moines will be held at a later date in the Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Marilyn was born in Lucas, Iowa and had lived in Indianola for the past 15 years, previously living in Nacogdoches, TX 6 years, Raritan, NJ 4 years, Noblesville, IN 5 years, Franklin, TN 5 years and Des Moines. A homemaker, Marilyn was a member of the Warren County Quilt Guild and Red Hat Society.
Surviving her is her husband, Jerry of Indianola; three sons, Don (Leigh) Carpenter of Prole, Craig Carpenter of Des Moines, and Douglas Carpenter of Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Karen (Mike) Phillips of Prole; brother, Albert Anderson of Grove City, OH; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Memorials may be given to Taylor House Hospice or to ALS.
