Marilyn Jane Camp was born in Clarke County, Iowa and graduated in 1948 from the Patterson High School and then also from Simpson College. She started teaching in rural Madison County in 1949 and retired in 1989 from the Muscatine Public Schools. Following retirement, she moved to Indianola. She enjoyed spending time with her brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces. She loved reading and poetry and was an excellent cook.

She is survived by her brothers, Marion (Becky) Camp of Olympia, WA, Robert Camp of St. Charles and Glenn (Diana) Camp of Antioch, IL; and sisters, Helen Armstrong and Evelyn Camp both of Indianola.

Visitation will be held 5 – 8 p.m., Wednesday, February 27, at Overton Funeral Home where the family will be present to greet friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Central Iowa, Knoxville Office.
