MARIE LAVONE LAW Indianola, IA Services for Marie Law, who died Monday, January 5, 2015 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 20 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Visitation will be held prior to services from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment of her cremains will be held at a later date in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Marie was born October 20, 1923 to Fred and Chloe (Faust) Romback in Indianola, Iowa. On June 11, 1943 she was united in marriage to Duane I. Law. She lived most of her life in Indianola where she was a homemaker. In 1970, she and Duane purchased a motel and later three motels before retiring and moving to Rogers, Arkansas in 1983. They returned to Indianola in 2000. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Indianola and attended as long as her health permitted. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Ed (Dwanna Faye) Russell of Red Oak; son, Garry Dean Law and fiancé Diane Hartschen of West Des Moines; grandson, Troy Wadsworth of Huntsville, AL; granddaughter, Mrs. Andrew (Tina Marie) Lynam of Jenks, OK; great-grandson, Nicholas Lynam of Jenks, OK; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Duane Law; parents; brother, Maurice Romback and sister Margaret Wyland. Memorials may be given to the Indianola First United Methodist Church.
