Prayer services for Maria A. Chance, 38, who died Sunday, May 7, 2006 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, will be held 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.  Maria was cremated and burial of cremains will be held at a later date.

Maria was born in Morris, Illinois and had lived most of her life in Indianola.  She worked as a CNA for several years for Indianola Good Samaritan Center, Westview Care Center and The Village all in Indianola.

She is survived by her companion Don Estes of Indianola; her children, Craig Chance Jr. of Indianola, Savannah (Tyler) Dittmer of Lacona, Emily Chance of Indianola; granddaughter, Madison Dittmer; mother Margrette Utlser of Indianola; sisters, LaNell Utsler and Roxanne Ohnemus and brother, Jeff Utsler.  She was preceded in death by her father Earl Utsler Jr. and brother Earl Utsler III.

Memorials may be given to the family in her name.
