MARCIA (TABER) FABER Indianola Marcia Louise Taber Faber was born October 5, 1949, the oldest of four children, to Floyd and Caroll (Jay) Taber in Des Moines, IA. After graduating from Indianola High School, Marcia obtained her LPN degree from Des Moines School of Practical Nursing. For the next 43 years, she provided care at several facilities to patients ranging in age from newborn to the elderly. Her greatest achievements and love were her daughter Renee and grandson Brendan. She loved being a grandma to Brendan above all else and tell of Brendan's accomplishments and constant antics. She loved to bake, take her nieces and nephews fishing, and to relax in her home she recently purchased. Marcia departed this world on Monday, March 18, 2013 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She was greeted at Heaven's gates by her parents and grandparents. Those left to mourn her passing are her daughter Renee (Jeff) Fitzhugh and grandson Brendan of Truro; sisters Renee (Rick) Nickelson of Indianola and Sharon Taber Conner of Des Moines; brother Floyd K. Taber of Villisca; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles as well as her beloved cat Tessa. Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 22 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 21 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to Kiya Koda Humane Society.
