Mae Elizabeth (Beck) Dillard passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the age of 98 years.  She was born September 9, 1925 to Loren Ellsworth and Etta Mae (Sargent) Beck.  She was a 1943 graduate of Indianola High School.  On March 20, 1945, she married Wayne E. Dillard.  Four children were born to this union:  Margie Sue, Linda Mae, Bradley Wayne and Scott Kevin.  Mae was a homemaker until 1978 when she began a career at Iowa Work Force Development in Des Moines for 30 years.

She is survived by her children, Sue Bissell, Linda (Dan) Dittmer and Bradley Dillard; her grandsons, Chad Dittmer, Jaren (Dana) Dittmer, Kyle (Brandi) Dittmer, Matthew Bissell; great-grandsons, Austin (Emily), Blaise, Lane (Alannah), Aidin and Hayden; and great-granddaughter, Kinsley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott Dillard; sister, Helen Nelson; niece, Connie Vanderpool; and nephew, Steve Nelson.
