Jean had resided in a town home at The Village in Indianola for the past two years and had previously lived on an acreage northeast of Indianola for 30 years. She had been an officer and assistant secretary for Iowa Power and Light, later Iowa Resources. She was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her husband Russ of Indianola; a son Stephen (Kathy) Sutton of Perry, IA; two daughters, Cindy (Tom) Hughes of Wilmington, Delaware, and Kathleen (Jim) Buntenbach of Ankeny, IA; two granddaughters, Samantha Rush of West Des Moines, IA and Amanda Denton of Des Moines, IA.

Visitation will be 2:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 19 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Trinity United Presbyterian Choir.
