Lyle Dean Fast, 85, of St. Charles, Iowa passed away Monday, June 26, 2023. He was born in Quincy, Illinois to Paul and Evelyn Fast. Lyle served in the United States Air Force as an Airplane Mechanic from 1960 to1966. He then went on to do various jobs before joining the Union as a Laborer. Lyle loved spending time with his family and friends, camping and planting a big garden every year.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Evelyn Fast; four brothers, Roger, Larry, Lanny and David; and his only sister Marianna.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Fast; daughters, Lori (Darren) Crabb, Leslie (Kyle) Shroeder, Lyn (Eric) Brown and Lisa Fast; son, Steven Fast; ten grandchildren, Chelsea, Ashley, Makayla, Ali, Hannah, Olivia, Misty, Jaimie, Clarence and Alexis; and twenty great-grandchildren, Brantley, Za'Cayda, A'nari, Dahlia, Evianna, Jayce, Harlon, Aliza, Leo, Nathaniel, Sebastian, Aiden, Wyatt, Jace, Ryder, Justus, Makaela, Matthew, Macie and Mason.

Private Services were held Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial was in the St. Charles Cemetery.
