Services for Lucille A. Johnson, 79, who died Sunday, August 14, 2005, will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 17 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Indianola with visitation prior to services from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield, IN.

Lucy was born in Dunlap, Iowa, graduated from Churdan High School and attended the University of Northern Iowa and Indiana University receiving her B.A. and Masters in Education. She taught in Gray, IA, Davenport, IA, and Clarksville, IN.  She was very active in her church parish in Bradford, IN.  She had lived in Davenport, Jeffersonville, IN, and New Salisbury, IN before moving to Plainfield, IN in 1995.  She had lived in Indianola since 1999 where she attended St. Thomas Aquinas Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin (Jeff) Fites; two grandchildren, J. Scott Fites, Jr., and Kateri Fites all of Plainfield; 17 brothers and sisters, Loretta Garreau, Dorothy Naberhaus, Rita Kimm, Viola Heins, Paul Veasman, Mildred Nichols, Clara Navratil, Julia Zwierzycki, Maxine Edwards, Darlene Reeves, John Veasman, Virginia Smith, Donna Rieck, Lawrence Veasman, Patricia Galbert, Mary Lehman, Michael Veasman.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one sister, Carolyn Smith. Memorials may be designated to Cardinal Ritter High School, Indianapolis, IN or St. Susanna Building Fund, Plainfield, IN.
