LOUISE A. ANDERSON Indianola Services for Louise A. Anderson, 98, who passed away, Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Westview Care Center in Indianola, will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 15 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Chariton Cemetery, Chariton, IA Louise was born in Derby, Iowa. In time her family moved to Chariton, Iowa and Louise graduated from Chariton High School. On June 24, 1936 she married Verl Anderson and in 1958, Verl, Louise and their children, Don and Lynn, move to Indianola. Louise worked for the Record-Herald in Indianola for 22 years. After her retirement, she and Verl spent the winters in Apache Junction, Arizona. Louise enjoyed baking, making candy and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Lynn (Monte) Rathbun of Monument, CO; grandchildren, Brian (Stacey) Rathbun and Amy Rathbun; sister-in-law, Gerry Allen of Chariton; and niece, Barb (Larry) Duncan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verl Anderson; son Donald; two brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be held prior to services from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
