Services for Lorna A. Iverson, 91, formerly of Indianola, IA, who passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Life Care Center of Plainwell, will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, April 6 at the Indianola First Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Lorna was born in Lake Preston, SD. The family moved to Iowa in 1938 where she attended rural school through 8th grade. She attended Junior High in Indianola and graduated from Indianola High School in 1943. She attended Simpson College for one year, then Kirksville School of Nursing in Kirksville, MO graduating with her RN in 1949.

Lorna was employed at KCOS as director of Nurses from 1949 to 1987 until her retirement.

After retirement, she returned to Indianola and was active in the First Baptist Church , PEO NG and Shakespeare Club. In November of 2016, she moved to Plainwell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Doris Iverson; brothers, Dean, Gerald, Daniel; and niece, Jeanna Steljes. She is survived by her sister, Carol Edgington of Plainwell, MI; six nephews and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Lorna's name to the First Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
