Lori Jean Stewart, age 65, of St. Charles, was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. Her journey with us came to a close on Sunday, May 19, 2024. We will gather to celebrate her life from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2024, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, where a Celebration of Life service will be held at 7 p.m.

Lori's life was one of love, devotion, adventure, and compassion. She is survived by her husband, Doyle Jacobs; children Tom (Amy) Hall, Jessica (Dustin) Montague, Courtney (Jeff) Mascher, Lindsay Britton, Jessica Jacobs; grandchildren, Ashlynn, Skyler, Macy, Dierk, Raelynn, Paysley; father, James (Trudy Gutowski) Stewart; siblings, Tami Stewart, Scott (Sheri) Stewart, Traci (Jedd) Birkholz, Jim (Lisa) Stewart and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ronaele Stewart.

Lori was a devoted wife, sister, mother, aunt, and grammy. She was the cornerstone of her family, offering strength and comfort to all. Her passion for the natural world was evident in her love for horseback riding, gardening, and embracing the great outdoors through camping, boating, and fishing. Lori's adventurous spirit led her to travel and explore often with her loved ones, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Her home was a place of warmth, filled with the aromas of her cooking, the laughter from trivia games, and the shared excitement of watching her favorite program; 'Wheel of Fortune.' Lori's kindness extended beyond her family, touching the lives of many, leaving a legacy of love that will continue to resonate long beyond her passing.

As we say farewell to Lori, we celebrate the gift of her presence in our lives and the indelible mark she has left on our hearts. Lori lives on, not only in our memories but in the kindness, we extend to others, inspired by her example.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lori's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital, a cause close to her heart.
