Born in Forest City, Iowa, Lois lived on a farm west of St. Marys since 1954. Her marriage to Stanley Davis took place December 22, 1939 in Garner, Iowa. She and her husband, Stanley drove dump trucks for Hillis Construction before she became employed with the I-35 School District driving a school bus.  Lois was also a homemaker and farm wife.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers and dancing.

She is survived by her two daughters, Dixie Sawyer of St. Marys and Darelene Hancock of Allen, Nebraska; two sister-in-laws, Delores Whitmore and Ila Martin; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers, son, Reggie and grandson, Jeffrey.

Visitation will be held 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 28 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
