LOIS ANN DARR Indianola Services for Lois A. Darr, 77, who died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, will be held 11 a.m., Monday, September 10, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Cremation will follow services with burial of cremains in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery at a later date. Lois is survived by her husband, Ray Darr; children, Kent (Susan) Darr of Lacona and Brad (Gloria) Darr of Franklin, TN; five grandchildren; brother, Gene (Helen) Lester of Aurora, CO; sisters, Donna Furnal of Indianola and Sandra Snelson of Carlisle. Visitation will be held 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, September 9 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorials may be given to Above + Beyond Cancer or the National Kidney Foundation. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff of the 8th floor oncology unit of Mercy Medical Center for their care and compassion.
