Services for Lloyd Weeks, 85, who died Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at home in Des Moines, will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 26, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Lloyd was born February 14, 1922 in Medford, Iowa, the son of Charlie and Cora Weeks, and married Maxine Bumgarner.  He farmed and drove truck for Warren County Oil, was a former member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church and enjoyed his coffee group.

Lloyd is survived by his son, Jerry (Kelly) Weeks of Des Moines; daughter, Donna Reetz of Des Moines; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; and 2 step great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 3 brothers, Murl, Carl and Don Weeks; and sister, Ruth Russell.

Visitation will be held 3 – 8 p.m., Friday, January 25 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 6:30 – 8 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be given to Iowa Hospice.
