IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lisa Ellen
Maisano
March 2, 1959 – November 11, 2024
A Celebration of Life Service for Lisa Ellen Maisano, 65, of Spokane, who passed away peacefully Monday, November 11, 2024 at her daughter's home, will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2024 at the Sunset Chapel, 5200 West Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA 99205. A time of gathering will be held from 2:30 to 4pm, after the service. Lisa's wishes were to donate her body to the Deeded Body Program with the University of Iowa. Inurnment will follow at a later date in Montana.
Lisa was born in Walnut Creek, CA on March 2, 1959 to Hugh Joseph and Mary Ellen (Mendenhall) Smith Jr She spent her young years in Santa Barbara, and in December of 1967 the family moved to Carson City, where she lived her formative years and she graduated with her Associates degree. She married her high school sweet heart and had two boys Jeremy and Michael. They later divorced and she remarried in 1989, and the next year gave birth to her daughter Megan. Shortly after, they all moved to Spokane, WA. In 2009, Lisa married for the final time and gained her special bonus son, Cameron.
Her career was spend doing bookkeeping and accounting for different auto shops and insurance agencies. She later was co-owner of a successful trucking business. If Lisa wasn't nose deep in a book, you could find her trying to connect with nature. She wanted to try new things, see new things, and learn new things constantly. She loved to explore the mountains of Montana by 4wheeler or snowmobile, or sit by a bonfire with the stars bright above her. Her six grandchildren were her absolute pride and joy, and no sleepover opportunity could ever be missed.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Steven; children, Jeremy Zutter, Michael Zutter, Megan (Joshua) Haynes, Cameron (Kathryn) Maisano; grandchildren, Hailie Haynes, Chase Haynes, Brooklyn Maisano, Madilyn Maisano, Raelyn Maisano, Harlyn Maisano; siblings, Jill (Alan) Calkins, Kim (Jim) Schmidt; many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Ellen (Mendenhall) Smith Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in memory of Lisa to your local animal shelter or adopt an elderly dog.
