Funeral services for Linda R. Shahan, 72, who passed away May 16, 2021 at home, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Overton Funeral Home, Indianola, Iowa.  Friends may also join the family on Overton Funeral Home's Live Stream on Linda's obituary page of our website.  Cremation will follow services. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Sunday at the funeral home.

Linda worked at Fisher Controls in Marshalltown Iowa, where she met the love of her life, Ronald Shahan and they were married on May 25th, 1974. Linda and Ron went on to start a family and had three girls, one boy, plus a step-son and a son from a previous marriage. Linda went to work at GMAC Mortgage Company and then to Home Medical where she retired and moved down to Indianola to take care of family. Linda was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all she met through her life.

Linda is survived by her children, Allan (Angie) Parks of Marshalltown, IA, Canzadie (Nick) Nigro of Parkersburg, IA, Fawna Shahan of Indianola, IA, Keisha Shahan of Waverly, IA and Robin Shahan of Shell Rock, IA; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and siblings, Dianne (Tom) Prock-Thacker, David (Rita) Prock and Karen Dorsett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Shahan; parents, Verna and Barney Thomas, William Jr. and Clara Prock; and siblings, Lonnie Thomas and Steve Prock.

Memorials may be made in her name to Unity Point Hospice or American Cancer Society.
