Obituary

Celebration of Life Service and Gathering for Linda M. Ranker, 75, who passed away Monday, September 4, 2023 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri will be held 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at The Broken Spoke 113 East Webster Street, Osceola, Iowa with a time of sharing following at West Lake, Osceola, Iowa.  Private inurnment of cremains will be in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Linda was born and raised in St. Louis, MO and moved to Osceola, IA in 1979 with her four children. Linda later met and married Joe Ranker and moved to Medora, IA where she helped run the Medora Store and was a member of the church Ladies Aid. Linda and her family enjoyed their vacation home on Table Rock Lake, where Linda loved boating, fishing, crafting, and flea markets. Linda later became the owner of Pioneer Auto Electric and worked alongside her son, Chuck until her retirement.

Linda loved to travel and spent time in Ohio, Florida, Boston, Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Branson. She loved to play the slot machines, video poker, gardening, her dog "Sophie", cooking, crossword puzzles, spending time with her family and friends.

Linda is survived by her children Tina (Terri) Ciecalone, Chuck (Karla) Ciecalone, Sheila (Gary) Hagen, Julie Graczyk and Greg Graczyk; grandchildren, Heather (Cody) McKasson, Casey Miller, Drew (Cassidee) Wright, Chelsea (Isaac) Welcher, Cameron Ciecalone, Cooper Ciecalone, Ashley (Joe) Haug, Dustin (Cassie) Hagen, Clay Hagen, Dillon (Janlynn) Scott, Alyssa (Zack) Cole, Logan Scott, Michael (Tia) Hauser, Samantha (Dalton) Springer, Tanya Schieffer; great-grandchildren, Skyler, Braden, Jensyn, Hinley, Hadley, Emersyn, Irelyn, Maylyn, Adler, Carson, C.J., Wyatt, Brantley, Bryant, Gavin, Taylon, Paisley, Jackson, Seaton, Chevy, Aubrey, Carter, Dawson and Beckham; bonus grandchildren, Mel Mason and Jacob Stump.  She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Ranker; grandparents, George and Marie Nabers; parents, Andy Williams, Shirley and Harold Browning; brothers, Allen Williams and Ron Williams and bonus grandson Richie Veasman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Linda to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
