Memorial services for LeRoy R. Smith, 74, who died Monday, April 2, 2012 in Des Moines, will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 5 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date. Survivors include his wife, Janet; daughter, Deanna Smith of Indianola; grandchildren, Victoria, Anastasia and Alexandra Smith; sisters, Ella Jane Mangello and Sharon Tesdahl of Carlisle and brother, Jim Smith of Johnston. He was preceded in death by his son, Duane Smith and his parents, John and Myrtle Smith. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Mercy Cancer Center in Des Moines.
