Services for LeRoy Benge, 38, who died Monday, June 28, 2010 at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines, will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, July 3 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Sandyville Cemetery.

LeRoy enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, mushroom hunting, and riding his motorcycle.  He also took pride from his profession as a siding carpenter.

Survivors include his partner of 12 years, Teri Harvey; mother, Kathy Wood of Sandyville; step-father, James Wood of Marana, AZ; father, Tom Benge of Centerville, brothers, Travis Wood of Bettendorf and Nick Wood of Lacona; step brothers, Mathew and Darin Benge; and step sisters, Heather Klinge, Jeanine Wood and Sheila Drake; Ricky Harvey. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Naomi Overlin and Lela Benge.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 2, 2010 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the family in his name. Online condolences may be sent at www.overtonfunerals.com.
