Obituary

A funeral mass for Leonard J. "Jack" Wadle, 65, who died Monday, March 7, 2005, in Brownsville, Texas, will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 14 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Indianola of which he was a member. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Jack was born in Lacona, Iowa, attended Rosemount School and graduated from Milo High School. He had been a resident of Indianola since 1957 where he owned and operated Culverts Unlimited for 15 years. He and his wife vacationed, for the past 20 years during the winter months, in South Padre Island, Texas. He served in the United States Army in the Army Reserves at Fort Des Moines. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Noon Lions Club and enjoyed his family and friends.

Jack is survived by his wife, Jane Ann of Indianola; two daughters, Julia (Doug) Warner and Linda (Phil) Myers all of Pleasantville; four brothers, Jim (Shirley) Wadle of Bettendorf, Albert Wadle of Des Moines, Rudy (Jan) Wadle of Milo and Gene (Pam) Wadle of Lacona; two sisters, Patsy (Bill) Hampton of Des Moines and Mary Konrad of Milo; four grandchildren, Ashley and Grace Warner, and Halle and Lucas Myers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard A. and Irene Wadle and infant daughter, Theresa Wadle.

Visitation will be held 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where a Rosary service will be held at 5:00 p.m. and a Scripture service at 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to his church.
