Obituary

Lela (Lee) Ardene Kildal died on Saturday, January 13th at The Village in Indianola, IA., at the age of 95. Lee was born on December 22, 1911 in Viborg, South Dakota to Lula and Aaron Hansen. She graduated from Sioux Falls College and taught in a country school near Viborg. In 1936 she married Morris Kildal, the young minister who had come to serve the Viborg Methodist Church.  Lee was devoted to her husband, her family and to all the many people in the churches that they served in South Dakota and in Iowa for over 40 years. Over the years she served on many and various committees in the towns where they lived and served. However, her most important job was being a partner with her husband in every congregation. Lee was the most wonderful, caring, sweet, devoted lady that always put everyone else first. Her husband, children and grandchildren were so very important to her. She was a perfect role model that inspired everyone to quietly care for each other and love God. Her faith in God was an inspiration to all who came to know and love her and to all of those whose lives she touched.

In honor of her wishes,a private family service and inurnment will be held in Indianola. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years, Morris, her sisters, Milletta and Vi Hansen and her brother Herb Hansen.
