Leigh Anne Beltz, 64, of Indianola, Iowa passed away unexpectantly Thursday, May 6, 2021. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

Born on April 4, 1957, in Des Moines, Iowa, Leigh was the eldest of two children to Lowell Beltz and Sandra Holmes.

Leigh was a friend and confidant to those who knew her, but nothing brought her more joy than being with her family, making big holiday meals including her infamous relish trays, and telling funny stories. In this brightly spinning world, Leigh's irrepressible, gracious spirit was a vibrant example of how to live fully. Her sense of humor was unmistakable, and her spirit has forever left a permanent imprint on our lives.

Leigh is survived by her mother Sandra Holmes of Des Moines, IA; daughter Emily Beltz of Iowa City, IA; stepmother Janet Beltz of Indianola, IA; stepsister Staci (Jim) Scheurenbrand of Indianola, IA; nieces Casey (Lou) Guan of Indianapolis, IN; Liz (Nathan Burns) Spencer of Eugene, OR; nephews Adam Scheurenbrand of Indianola, IA; Joseph Scheurenbrand of Indianola, IA; and cousins, family, and friends who cherished every moment they had with her. She is preceded in death by her father, Lowell Beltz and sister, Becky Spencer.
