Obituary

Graveside services for Lee Allan Marsh, 85, who went to be with his Lord Monday, December 28, 2009, will be held 2:30 p.m., Thursday, December 31 in the Sandusky Cemetery, Keokuk, IA.

Lee was raised in the Spencer, Iowa area moving to Keokuk in 1940 and served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was united in marriage June 9, 1944 to Dorothy Evelyn Johnson. He was a purchasing agent working for Sheller-Globe Corp which became United Technology Corp retiring in 1989. He was a member of Clarke County, MO Historical Society and also Iowa and Illinois Numismatic Association Coin Clubs. He enjoyed studying his family genealogy and traveling, especially his Alaskan Cruise.

He is survived by his daughter, Diane Evelyn (William Dean) Protsman of Keokuk; granddaughter, Stacey Ann (Scott Lee) Redenius of Rockford, IL; sister, Lila Ann (Russell) Tyler of Las Vegas, NV; and niece, Sandra Lee (Terry Lee) Dillinger of Indianola and many other nieces and nephews throughout the United States. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy in 1999; parents, Audie Lee and Meda Lucille (Urban) Marsh; 2 brothers, Koiel Ardie Marsh and Bernard Alaska Marsh; and 3 sisters, Hazel Iris Marsh-Riley, Audrey Lucille Fowler, and Alta Lou Hentges.

Visitation will be held 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, December 30 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola and also Thursday from Noon to 2 p.m. at Vigen Memorial Home and Crematory, Keokuk. Memorials may be made to Lee County Hospice.
