Services for Laura "Darlene" Iverson, 80, who died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Regency Care Center in Norwalk, will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Norwalk Christian Church in Norwalk. Burial will follow in the Norwalk Cemetery. Darlene was born in Dexter, IA the daughter of Frank and Marie Olson Smith. She graduated from Norwalk High School in 1949 and was the Homecoming Queen. She was united in marriage to Gordon Dale Iverson on October 26, 1950 in Fort Lewis, WA. To this union two sons were born, Michael and David Iverson. Darlene had worked the Norwwalk/New Virginia Insurance Agency for 26 years before she retired. She was a very active member of the Norwalk Christian Church. Survivors include her husband, Gordon; sons, David and Michael; sister, Donna Carter and brother, Larry Smith all of Norwalk and several nieces and nephews.
