Obituary

LARRY L. WAYMAN Indianola Larry Latrell Wayman, 74, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Trinity Center at Luther Park in Des Moines. Private inurnment of cremains will be held in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery at Van Meter. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Larry was in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1963, stationed in Korea . He graduated from Simpson College with a Computer Engineering degree. He worked for Mid America Energy and retired after 25 years. His passion was flying, building and repairing airplanes. Larry and Annetta built their dream home on Nash Field airstrip, south of Indianola, where they lived for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Rex Wayman, and his mother, Helen (Hunter) Wayman. He is survived by his wife Annetta; son, Lance Wayman of Austin, TX; brother, Ron (Linda) Wayman of Sioux City, IA; and sister, Pamela (John) Sullivan of Kansas City, MO.; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorials may be given to Kiya Koda Humane Society or Trinity Center at Luther Park in Des Moines. Online condolences may be made at www.overtonfunerals.com.
