Born in Des Moines, Kyle was a 2003 graduate of Indianola High School.   He attended Des Moines Area Community College for two years.  He was employed as a carpet layer for Branchcomb Enterprises.  He loved sports and was active as a softball player; he was a Yankee fan.

He is survived by his father James D. Foust (Pamela) of rural Indianola and mother Linda Sorg of Newton; two brothers, Ryan (Darlene) Foust of Indianola and Eric Foust of Newton; his grandfather Milo Hartwig of Shell Rock;  a step-brother Bradley Hungerford of rural Indianola and step-sister Brandi Kanselor of Redfield; and his girl friend Meg Poindexter of Indianola.

Visitation will be held 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends 5:30-8:00 p.m.

A Kyle C. Foust Memorial Fund has been established by his family.
