Korene Lee Walker-Ivy born to Mason and Louise Walker on February 17, 1950, passed away at home September 22, 2008.  Services will be held at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, IA Friday, September 26th where family will greet friends from Noon – 2 p.m. with a service immediately following at 2 p.m.

To know Korene was to love her, she had a very giving heart and didn't know a stranger.  Korene is with Jimmy now smiling down on all of us.

Korene was preceded in death by her parents and son James Kenneth Ivy II.  Survivors to morn her loss and cherish her memory are her daughters, Leanna (Dave) Six of Albia, IA, and Janna (Jimmy) Sawtelle of Judsonia, AR; three sisters, twin, Florene (Gary) Schroeder, Sherry (Bob) Locker and Connie (Bill) Boylan; two brothers, Ronnie Walker and Frank (Ruth) Walker; as-well-as many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.  Korene spent her last 14 years as a loving Mother and Grandmother to her eight grandchildren who were the love of her life.
