Funeral Mass for Kimberly Sue Kuhns, 63, of Des Moines, IA, who passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 in Des Moines, will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 8, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Milo, IA.  Burial will follow services in the Indianola I.O.O.F Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Kim was born November 20, 1958.  She was raised in Milo.  She graduated from Southeast Warren High School in 1977.  Kim ran a successful daycare business for nearly 20 years.  After running her business, she decided to pursue a role in Dietary at ChildServe in Johnston, IA. Needless to say, Kim loved children and loved teaching new little minds and instilling kindness and patience into them.  Kim's biggest passion in life was her family, but most of all her children.  She loved them fiercely.

Kim is survived by her children, who made up the entirety of her world, Jacky (Ron) Sease, Trevor Kuhns; father, Sylvester Dittmer; siblings, JoCindy (Dan) Marsh, Rick Dittmer, Penny Dittmer; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Dittmer.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the church.
