Kevin Oehlert, 69, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025 at home in Urbandale, Iowa. He was born on June 3, 1955, in Osceola, Iowa. On February 23, 1974, Kevin married Cindy (Sams) Oehlert, and together they had three children: Megan, Todd and Kiley.

Kevin was well known as the owner of the Indianola Dairy Queen, where he brought joy to many people in the community. His sense of humor and infectious laughter made him a beloved presence among family and friends. A dedicated fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Dallas Cowboys, Kevin rarely missed a game. He also found great enjoyment in listening to his favorite music and playing games with his family.

Kevin is survived by his children, Megan (Adin) Delic, Todd Oehlert, Kiley (Adam) Rodriguez; grandchildren, Adella, Aden and Adam Delic, Payton Rodriguez; his sisters, Karen (Chris) Friedlander and Kathi Oehlert; nephew, Sam Friedlander; and niece, Jill Friedlander.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jean (Mason) Oehlert.

Kevin's memory will live on through the laughter and joy he shared with those who knew him.

Funeral Services for Kevin will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow service in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Indianola. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 19, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home, where family will be present to greet friends.

Memorials may be given to Children's Miracle Network, in Kevin's memory.
