Kennith “Kennie” Wayne Huffman 70, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

He grew up in Indianola and graduated from Indianola High School. While growing up Kennie and his siblings loved riding horses, competing in horse shows and riding snowmobiles. The family took many vacations together to many places, Yellowstone National Park, South Dakota, Canada where our dads family lived and are from visiting many different places. After graduating Kennie bought a motorcycle and set out to travel the country. He lived in California for a while then moved to Des Moines where he worked at Charles Gabus Ford. After moving back to Des Moines, he met Patty Wagner his significant other they’ve been together 15 - 20 years.

Kennie is survived by his siblings, Judy (Kent) Huffman, Randy Huffman, Barbara (Jim) Hoover; step-sister, Cherie (Larry) Warren and step-brother David Furnas. Kennie was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Patricia (Morgan) Huffman; grandmother, Carmen (Huffman) Fee; Aunt Jacque (Huffman) Outland and step-brother Jimmy Furnas.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2026 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.
