After graduation from Russell High School of Russell, Iowa, he entered the Army Air Force and became a co-pilot on B-17s during World War II. He owned and operated several service stations and a garage and radiator shop in Des Moines prior to moving to Mountain Home, Arkansas, in 1972. In 1973, he opened the Edwards Radiator and Air Conditioning Service in Mountain Home.
He was always a happy person, enjoyed good times, traveling and fishing, and loved his family. He was a member of Alley-White American Legion Post #52.
Survivors are: his wife: Shirley Edwards; son: Jay (wife, Karen) Edwards; grandchildren: Tiffany (husband, Jason) McDonald, Jayson and Brandon Edwards. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Robert and Leo Edwards.
Kenneth passed away Monday, June 27th in Arkansas. Visitation will be from Noon-9:00 P.M. Thursday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5-9:00 P.M. Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the Overton Funeral Home Chapel in Indianola, Iowa, with the family receiving friends from 1-3:00 P.M. preceding services. Interment will follow in the Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F) Cemetery in Indianola. Pallbearers are: Jayson and Brandon Edwards, Jason McDonald, Frank Deitch, J. R. Perry and Gib Andreini. Honorary pallbearers are: Keith Lindeman, Jack Prather, Walter Poe and Roy Bell. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas or the American Diabetes Foundation.
