KEITH UTTLEY

Celebration of Life services for Keith Uttley, 87, who passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018 will be held 7 p.m., Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with visitation held two hours prior to service from 5 to 7 p.m.

Keith was born July 3, 1931 in St. James, Minnesota to Clark and Gertrude (Lovejoy) Uttley. After graduating from Milo High School, he married his sweetheart Dorothy Van Syoc on November 5, 1950. Together they enjoyed traveling around the country and visited all but five states.  Keith worked for the city of Milo in maintenance and was the town marshal and fire chief for 10 years. He also worked as a road grader operator for Warren County. He retired from Firestone after 26 years. Keith loved his family and was very proud of them.

Keith is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Roger Michael (Sue) Uttley, Richard Allen (Linda) Uttley, Randal Lee (Elizabeth) Uttley; grandchildren, Todd (Sarah) Uttley, Michelle (Christopher) Palassis, Erin (Matt) Vanderwerf, Kelly (John) Fruin, Sara Uttley; great-grandchildren, Kali Uttley, Effie and I.O. Palassis, Baylee and Natalie Smith, Kaia and Jordan Vanderwerf, Gabe and Gage Fruin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Gertrude Uttley; brother, Lynford Uttley; sister, Yvonne Baughman.

Memorials may be given to the Milo Lions Club Pedestrian and Bike Trail.
