Keith was born near Medora, Iowa, graduated from Indianola High School and attended Simpson College. He served in the United States Army during WW II in the European Theatre. He lived in Indianola following the war and worked as a carpenter for Godwin Brothers Construction and Downing Construction. He liked to play cards, especially Bridge, watch sports and enjoyed his family.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou and sons, Tom (Mary Lou) and Steve (Lynn) all of Indianola. Also surviving is his sister, Helen Killam of Lady Lakes, FL; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ethel Sargent and brothers, Raymond, Roland and Clyde.
Visitation will be held from 4 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 4 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 6 – 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be designated to the Village Good Shepherd Fund.
