Funeral services for Katey C. Foy, 16 who died Friday, July 22, 2005, of injuries sustained in an accident at the Memorial Park skateboard complex in Indianola, will be held 10:30  a.m., Thursday, July 28, at the First United Methodist Church in Indianola.  Interment will be in Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Born in Des Moines, she lived northwest of Indianola for the past fifteen years and had completed her sophomore year at Indianola High School.  Katey was an active member of the Center Chapel United Methodist Church. She participated in several sports with special interests in gymnastics, track and skateboarding; she also loved many types of music.  Katey was very outgoing and had a great love of friends and family, she was very focused with a strong determination to succeed.  She was a Red Cross organ donor.

She is survived by her parents, Ed and Susan "Kay" Foy of rural Indianola; her sister, Taylor Foy at home; a half-sister, Heather Walker of Belleville, Illinois; and her grandmother, Lois Jones of Troy, Iowa.

Friends have organized a prayer service, 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 26, at the Memorial Park skating complex in Indianola.

Visitation will be held 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Memorials may be given to the Center Chapel United Methodist Church Building Fund and the Indianola High School Katey C. Foy Scholarship Fund.
