Services for Karen L. Williams, 52, who died Friday, May 17, 2013 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, IA, will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 22 at the First United Methodist Church in Indianola with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery. She loved to spend her free time scrapbooking and taking care of her grandchildren. Her life was putting family and friends' well-being before her own, as well as forming a 29 year bond with a loving and devoted husband. She fought cancer and other illnesses for 18 years and eventually lost that battle. Karen is survived by her husband, Claude; sons, Justin (Bethany) and Adam (Amanda) Williams of Indianola and Brennan (Elizabeth) Williams of Mt. Pleasant; two grandchildren, Cameron and Norah; mother, Janice Kuiper of Ft. Dodge; and siblings, Kevin (Kerrie) and Kurt (Keri) Kuiper and Karla (Joel) Bell all of Ft. Dodge. Preceding her in death was her father, John Kuiper. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 21 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given in Karen's name to the Susan G.
