JUSTINE DAWN WEEKS Indianola A Celebration Visitation for Justine Dawn Weeks, 44, who passed away, Wednesday, March 11, 2015 will be held 5 to 8 p.m, Friday, March 13 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. to greet family and friends. Private burial of cremains will be held at a later date. Justine was born during an ice storm on January 13, 1971 in Des Moines, Iowa to Dean and Sherry Weeks. She grew up on a farm south of Indianola. Justine and her best friend Blue (a Red Doberman Pinscher) spent many hours in the orange truck and roaming around the farm -- occasionally, getting into trouble when they roamed too far. Justine loved dogs and additional best friends were added --- Dog, Carrie, Sierra, and Shay. Justine enjoyed growing up on a farm and doing "most" of the chores. She enjoyed working with and showing horses and cattle. The highlight of the summer was showing and camping in the stock trailer at the Warren County Fair. Justine graduated from Indianola High School in 1989. Justine enjoyed high school and still holds a strong bond with many of her classmates and high school friends. Justine held many different jobs during her time on Earth, but her favorite was detailing vehicles. She loved making a dirty vehicle clean and sparkly --- especially, the black ones. Justine enjoyed being outside, fishing with Austin & Leah, working in the garden, and mowing the yard. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing, country music, and watching NASCAR. She is survived by her son, Austin (Leah) Reed and granddaughter Aspen; father Dean (Paula) Weeks; mother, Sherry Weeks; sister, Dean Ann (Todd) Netley and nephew Jared Netley; a large and supportive extended family; and many, many friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in her name.
