JUSTIN ROBERT WOOD

On Wednesday, January 17, 2018 the gates of Heaven rumbled and in walked Justin Robert Wood, 29, a son, a brother, an uncle, a grandson, and a friend. Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 24 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Roxanne Wood; sisters, Jenelle (Austin) Barnes and Jennifer Wood; niece, Brooklynn; nephews, Karson and Sawyer Barnes; grandparents, Don and Nancy Wood, Patricia Kerr and Bob (Elaine) Costello; aunts, uncles, Randy (Karen) Wood, Deann (Mitch) Kluss, Chad (Julie) Wood, Tad Costello, Paula (Keith) Howard, and several cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather Raymond Kerr.

Justin was born on March 21, 1988. He graduated from Indianola High School in 2006. Justin loved all thing outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, camping, boating, tubing, and mudding. His pride and joy was his truck and his race car. He raced at the Warren County Speedway and finished fourth place in his class this past year.  He loved getting his niece and nephew wound up and chasing them through the house trying to tickle them. Justin was a very thoughtful and caring person, he loved making people smile and laugh.

Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 23 at Overton Funeral Home with family present from 5 to 8 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family in his name.
